The Austin Creek State Recreation Area can be found two miles north of Guerneville and southwest of Healdsburg. This park is accessed by a narrow winding road, and trailers are prohibited. The park features approximately 6,000 acres of woodlands, hills and meadows. Austin Creek also offers twenty miles of trails and panoramic wilderness views, back-country camping and Bullfrog Pond Campground, which is accessible by vehicle.
